International competition of literary translation took place in Gorlovka Institute of foreign languages, for the title of best fought almost 270 students and graduate students from four countries. This was reported today by the press service of the Ministry of education and science of DPR.
"The faculty of Humanities Horlivka Institute for foreign languages summed up the international competition of literary translation "Through thorns to the stars", organized by the Department of foreign Philology, theory and practice of translation. The contest was attended by 269 students and postgraduates of the DPR, LPR, Russia and Transnistria", — noted in the Ministry of education.
The Ministry said that the participants for translation into Russian language was suggested literary texts in English, German, French and Spanish. The contestants had to complete works in prose or poetry. Some coped with two options, many were sent to the contest several and tried his hand at translating two or more languages.
According to the results received 43 best work. First places were taken by nine participants from Russia, four of the DPR, two of the LPR, a total of 14 people. The second recognized 15, the rest took the third position. The winners were awarded with diplomas and certificates. Their works will be published in the anthology of literary translation "Through thorns to the stars", published by Gorlovka Institute of foreign languages.
