Office of the Commissioner for human rights in the DPR sent the UN a formal letter based on the statements of military personnel of the Republic about the facts of pressure on their relatives from the Ukrainian security services. This was stated today by the press service of the Ombudsman.
"The Commissioner for human rights in the Donetsk people's Republic has received statements from two members of the 1983 and 1966 to provide legal protection and assistance in the appeal to the international organizations, — noted in press service. — On the basis of applications received, staff were sent an official letter to the UN representatives on human rights".
Clarifies that the purpose of the impact on the military of the Republic, their relatives living in the territory, temporarily controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, has been moral and psychological pressure and had received threats of illegal prosecution by the representatives of the security service of Ukraine.
We will add that yesterday at a briefing in Donetsk two military personnel of the armed forces of the Republic, born in Kramatorsk (Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk region) and may day (the Kharkov region) Oleg Boyko and Igor Grigoriev told journalists about the threats from the SBU against their families.
In this regard, the Deputy commander of the operational command Eduard Basurin said that DPR plans to attract international human rights organizations to address this problem.
